Photo Session With Meeza And Shelby | Raleigh, North Carolina Photographer
The driver behind this photo session was my desire to experiment and practice familiar and new photography techniques. I have a great impulse to push myself and grow my skill set beyond 2015, which is why I have decided to declare 2016 to be the year of the deliberate practice. Does practicing make me less of a professional photographer, no, does it make me less knowledgeable with respect to photography, no. What it does make me is driven and focus.
No one should be afraid of the word "practice" because every single person on planet earth practice even if they are the very best at what they do, so why shouldn't I be doing the same. However, practice without passion or focus will yield zero results, which is why I am forcing myself to conduct deliberate photography practice sessions every other week.
For this session, I put out a model call on Facebook indicating I was looking for a model with flexible hours and two models answered the call Meeza Gee and Shelby Boyd. On the day of the photoshoot, we explored downtown Raleigh, North Carolina and as we walked I was constantly looking for opportunities to create unique images. The ladies feet probably really disliked me, but I think it was worth it. I want to thank both models for being so flexible with their time and braving the cold weather.
