Losing My Inspiration With Elizabeth Cassels Clayton | Raleigh, North Carolina Photographer

Every creative at some point goes through this period in their lives where the desire to create becomes less of a priority.  They lose that drive, that hunger and the passion for art.

Ever since I returned from Dubai my mind has been occupied with so many thoughts, potential opportunities and important decisions that creativity has taken a back seat.  As each day unfolds I tell myself tomorrow I will pickup the camera, tomorrow comes and I don't.

Last week I said "no more", so I put out a model call on Facebook with no game plan and no concept.  However, I knew if a model answered the call that I had to deliver.  Elizabeth Cassels Clayton answered that call.  I never worked with Elizabeth before which was perfect because not only did I had to deliver but I also had to make a great impression.  At the time I wasn't aware but Elizabeth drove over an hour to come and shoot with me, so I am really glad I didn't slack off.

Elizabeth you were amazing, thank you so much for helping me out of my creative slump.  Chenee Jones did the make up for this shoot, as always thank you very much for participating and taking care of our wonderful model.  I also want to thank Steven Muncy who drove about 40 mins to come an assist me at the last moment with this shoot, you were a big help.

Look, the struggle continues but I will wake up everyday with the desire and I am confident the passion will follow, it just takes time.
