Create Amazing Portraits At Night Workshop | Raleigh, North Carolina Photographer

So about last night's workshop, yeah we had a great deal of fun.  The focus of the workshop was about blending the ambient light with various light sources.

In this workshop I demonstrated how you can use multiple flashes to help separate your subject from the background.  I used a video light as our main light source to create portraits while as the same time paying attention to the background.  I wanted to also make the point that you don't need any expensive light source but only the ambient light to create beautify creative portraits, so we did that as well.  Lastly, keeping with the theme of not requiring expensive lights, I used the torched light on an iPhone to help create yet another creative portrait.

I want to give a big thank you to Shelby Boyd for braving the cold weather while I demonstrated various techniques and for being our beautify model for this workshop.  Shelby you did an amazing job as usual, until next time.  I also want to thank the attendees for participating in the workshop and I hope you learned a great deal and will go home and practice.
